Give your child a head start in English
A1 Movers is the second of the three Young Learners tests, which are for children from 7 to 12 years. The test shows that a child is beginning to use everyday written and spoken English at a very basic level. A1 Movers will build your child’s confidence, so encouraging them to learn more and use their English at a more challenging level.
Real life language skills
Learning English which is both practical and useful, is important for children. It is also important that they learn to speak good English and that they work towards international standards which will enable them to study or work abroad.
The A1 Movers test is at the A1 level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
At this level your child can:
- understand basic instructions or take part in a basic factual conversation on a predictable topic
- understand basic notices, instructions or information
- complete basic forms, and write notes including times, dates and prices.
The Young Learners tests are specifically designed with the interests of schoolchildren in mind, so stimulating their motivation to learn English. Based on familiar topics, the tests give your child the confidence they need, and inspire them to do well.
